John’s journey with music began in 1996 as a breakdancer. Over the years, his love for music grew stronger, eventually leading him to discover his true passion: DJing. Initially influenced by hip hop and R&B, his repertoire quickly expanded to include a wide range of genres such as Afrobeats, trap, baile funk, neo-soul, house, and more. John also enjoys mixing in drum and bass and other high-energy styles.
John has always been a big dreamer, with a vision to connect people through a shared love of music. After co-founding SYNCCITY in 2017, he is now organizing his own events—SHAWTY + ONLYFRENS8—and is mentoring the younger generation. Music has taken John around the world, playing at parties and events in iconic cities like Amsterdam, Los Angeles, and New York City. Wherever he goes, his vibrant energy and genre-blending sets create unforgettable experiences.
