KA-RABA kicks off this carnival season with a mix that carries the heat, grit, and rhythm of the diaspora. It’s a journey through club intensity and cultural resonance, full of rich textures, heavy percussion, and a few rough edges expect energy, depth, and a few raw edges along the way. Sitting still might be difficult on this one. After spending a lot of time on structural and institutional work in culture, KA-RABA is stepping back into mixing as a way to reconnect with people. As a curator and founder of Switzerland’s OKRA Collective, she sees sound as a tool for connection. This set celebrates release, movement, and the raw, collective energy of the carnival spirit.
